Xie Jingsi

Xie Jingsi is a researcher and artist based in Beijing. She studied Visual Communication Design at Central Academy of Fine Arts for her undergraduate and now pursuing her master of Smart City Research. Her works, Utopia, have been exhibited at the 2016 International Exhibition of Modern Designs on Ink Painting. In the 7th Shenzhen-Hong Kong Bi-City Biennale of Urbanism and Architecture in 2017, she designed the exhibition "Invisible Village: Reconstruction of Belief Space in Urbanization of Jinjiang". She taught the furniture product design course at the Central Academy of Fine Arts City Design School in 2017. Recent projects include research on quality improvement of urban streets in Beijing and research on urban visual big data by using Deep Learning with UrbanXYZ.

In 2018, Xie Jingsi’s work was exhibited in the exhibition Infrastructural Territory: The Spatial Foundation of National Discourse at OCAT Shanghai.

The exhibition is presented through installations, photographs, models, videos and other mediums in exploring the symbiosis between infrastructure and landscape, as well as their shared practices and cross-disciplinary overlaps among the sub-branches of architecture, urban planning and landscape design on the subject on “infrastructure”.
